TURN UP Multimedia Festival 2022
March 23-26, 2022 in Tucson, AZ
The University of Arizona invites composers (acoustic and electroacoustic) and multimedia artists of any age, gender identity, race, sex, ethnicity, religion, or national origin to submit works or presentations to be featured at the Spring 2022 TURN UP Multimedia Festival in Tucson, Arizona.
TURN UP promotes Equality, Culture-Connecting, and Interdisciplinary Collaboration. We encourage partnership between different fields, cultures, and genders. TURN UP includes multiple lectures, presentations, and master classes from leading artists from different fields, different circumstances, and different geographic areas, and culminates with multiple multimedia concerts that include the works of select artists. We want to TURN UP the volume and visibility of artists from underrepresented groups in music, art, and technology.
Each concert will feature an 8.1 speaker diffusion system and stage video projection system. TURN UP accepts all visual art/music works, but we especially seek works that fall within one of the following categories:
1) Acoustic works for five performers or less.
2) Instrument(s)/voice(s) and fixed media or live electronics with or without video.
Featuring performances by NOISE Ensemble and Faculty Artists of the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music. Pieces with instrument(s) that are not on the list below are also welcome.

Morris Palter, percussion
Christopher Adler, piano
3) Works for fixed media and/or live electronics up to 8.1 with or without video.
