Call for Fixed Media Works - Results

Thank you for submitting your work to the TURN UP Festival 2021 Call for Fixed Media Works. TURN UP received 137 submissions for the Fixed Media Call. The submissions displayed an impressive diversity of styles and artistic viewpoints. They demonstrate the strong aesthetic statements and technology innovations in our field.

The selected works will be featured in the festival include:

Still Shining by Linda Antas

murmurations by Kirsten Volness and Alexander Dupuis

shift.smear by Matt Bryant

Lyse by Zuriñe F. Gerenabarrena

Tesseract by João Pedro Oliveira

Always and Forever by Yuliya Lanina and Nina C. Young

rare yet soft by Kyong Mee Choi

for line upon line by Ted Moore and Line Upon Line Percussion

Corporate Responsibility Pledge by Doug Bielmeier and Allison Tanenhaus

This call for submissions isn't a contest, but a way to promote new music and bring more artists under the spotlight. There are many fine artists who we are unable to feature and many amazing pieces that we cannot present this year. We hope you will keep sharing us your music/works, because we love to hear how composers have developed their voices and we work hard to create more opportunities to present those new works in the future!

We wish you the best and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
