Short Summary and Impact
My name is Kay He. I am a composer, video artist, pianist, photographer, painter, teacher, I am Chinese, and I am a woman. Being female is one of the last things I think about when considering my identity as an artist or as a person. As a Chinese female composer and multimedia artist working in the U.S., I feel a strong commitment to promoting gender equality, racial equality, interdisciplinary collaborations, and cultural connection. I believe in the power of art to bring people together and create positive changes.
At the core of my mission is the desire to amplify the voices of underrepresented artists in music, art, and technology. We want to TURN UP the volume and visibility of artists from underrepresented groups in music, art, and technology.
What We Need & What You Get
Producing a festival, especially a multimedia one, is a challenging task. But it is a challenge worth taking on, and we need your support. If you believe in the importance of supporting underrepresented artists, we invite you to consider a donation to the TURN UP Multimedia Festival. Your contribution will directly support artists by covering travel costs, registration fees, and other essential expenses that allow their dreams to become a reality.
We deeply appreciate every donor’s support, and we will honor any specific wishes regarding how your donation is used. Please contact us if you would like to make a contribution.
Other Ways You Can Help
If financial support isn't an option for you, there are still plenty of ways you can contribute:
Every small action counts, and together, we can make a big impact. Thank you for your support in elevating these vital voices.
